    XLC Alloy MTB Bike Bicycle 9/16″ Pedal

    One piece aluminum body / aluminum cage.

    CroMo axle, CNC milled. Boron axle, ball bearing.

    This auction is for a pair, one left and one right of pedals.
    The left pedal is reverse threaded and the right pedal is regular thread.

    These are a nice durable pedal that will accept toeclips if you want to add them.
    These will work well on a comfort bike, city bike or mountain bike.

    These pedals are very durable, the cage is cast as part of the body so
    you do not get screws falling out of this pedal which often will ruin the cage.

    Durable with good grip for riding with shoes.  Not recommended for riding Barefoot.

    Pedal Installation Tips

    First remember your left pedal will be reverse thread and the right pedal is standard thread.

    Most pedals are marked on one axle or both with an L or an R.

    Put a little bit of grease on the threads of your pedal before threading into your crank.
    This will keep your Cromolly Axle from rusting solid to your Aluminum Crank Arm.

    Tighten your Pedals.  If you do not get your pedals tight they will probably unscrew over time.
    This can cause an ugly accident if you are pushing hard on the pedals when the pedal comes out.
    It will usually ruin the crank arm as it comes out.

    Pedal Wrenches make pedal changing much easier, 15 mm thin throat and long handles
    for good leverage.  Check out the Pedal Wrenches in my Ebay Store.

    Seat Post Tips

    It is very important that you have the exact size of seat post that you need.
    If you use a 27.0 seatpost in a 27.2 bike you will always be having
    the seatpost slide down while you are riding.

    It is important to put a bit of grease on the inside of the bicycle frame before inserting your new seatpost.
    Otherwise your new seatpost is likely to rust into your frame and become impossible to adjust or remove.
    In high moisture areas this can happen within a year.

    Usually a seatpost will have the size inscribed near the bottom of the post.

    Most seatposts will have a minimum insertion line.  If you do not put the seatpost in
    at least that far into the frame you are likely to damage both seatpost and bike frame from
    normal riding of your bike.

    The curved ends give just a little better clearance on narrow trails.

    I like these Climbing bars.
    I am much more efficient on tough climbs with Bar Ends.

    The extra hand position helps keep my hands from tiring as fast.

    These pedals come with cleats however Shimano SPD cleats will work with them.

    These are a very high quality clipless/flat pedal.  Not only do they look good
    they should be very durable with the sealed bearings.

    You could mount Toe Clips to these pedals if you wanted however they
    would not work very well as Clipless pedals at that point.

    These pedals would work very well on a Spinning bike that you wanted both
    Toe Clips and clipless pedals on.
